My name is Sam Zaref and I’m a student at the Rhode Island School of Design studying Industrial Design. My main focus and passion lies in making new and existing technology and innovations more accessible through the lens of physical product design.
All my life, I have had a passion for art and making. From Legos to woodworking, I have spent my life tinkering and constructing. For me, industrial design has been a perfect fit. Throughout my time at RISD and my experience in the field, I have built up skills in various methods of making and have strengthened my design process, integrating technology with traditional approaches.
In addition to my work as an industrial designer I am an avid photographer and videographer. I am also an FAA licensed commercial drone pilot (part 107) and have photographed for various clients.
Outside of work I enjoy many outdoor activities and sports including skiing, kayaking, biking, hiking, tennis, and exploring new places.
